There’s a 1% fee (minimum 0.50 SGD) applied on all domestic spending when amaze is linked to a debit/credit card. This includes spends that have been refunded, and in some cases, where a merchant puts a temporary hold on your money before a purchase (pre-authorisation). You may avoid this fee by spending via your amaze wallet.
Here are some examples of how the 1% fee will be applied:
| amaze transaction | Domestic fee charged | |
| amaze linked to card | amaze linked to wallet | |
| 20 SGD for MRT fare | 0.50 SGD | No fee |
| 300 SGD on NTUC | 3 SGD | No fee |
| 1,500 SGD on UNIQLO | 15 SGD | No fee |
Note: Starting 10 March 2025, the 1% MCC fee on payments that fall under MCC 6540 (e-wallet top ups) and MCC 4111 (EZ-Link wallet top-ups and TransitLink General Ticketing Machines) has been removed. These payments, if made via linked card, will only be subject to the domestic fee.
