The Guernsey Pound (GGP) is the official currency of Guernsey, a British Crown Dependency. It is pegged to the British Pound Sterling (GBP) at a 1:1 ratio, meaning it holds the same value as GBP. British Pounds (GBP) circulate freely in Guernsey, but GGP is not legal tender in the UK. Guernsey issues its own banknotes and coins, which are used for local transactions. The economy of Guernsey is highly dependent on financial services, tourism, and agriculture. Banknotes range from £1 to £50, and coins are issued from 1p to £2.
