What documents do I need for KYC/verification to send money abroad from India?

You will need the following documents to send money overseas based on your reason for transfer: 

  • A valid government ID: Aadhaar card or passport and PAN card (regardless of the reason for transfer). 
  • For university fees or hostel payment: Foreign university offer letter/Admission letter, Visa copy/I20 Form, Student PAN, Student Passport, and bank account details. 
  • For blocked account funding and GIC: blocked account letter or GIC letter, foreign university offer letter/admission letter, student PAN, student passport, and bank account details. 
  • Employment and emigration: passport copy, employment offer letter, pan copy, emigration payment invoice. 
  • Visa Fees: Passport copy, visa fees invoice and PAN copy.
